We also provide shredding services for hard drives to make sure information is completely destroyed. Using a dedicated hard drive shredder, we break down the entire device. This goes beyond the step of just compacting it, ensuring that no data can be recovered.
At Direct Shred, we offer professional shredding services for a wide variety of documents, including financial records, medical charts, tax documents, and everyday paperwork. There is no set limit on the type or size of documents we accept, and items like staples, paper clips, and spiral-bound notebooks can all go through the shredder. The only exception is plastic binding, which must be removed first.

We serve a wide range of clients, from individuals, residential customers, and businesses across many industries. Some of our most frequent clients work in fields that require heavy document storage, such as education, finance, government, insurance, and law.
If your business builds up paperwork that must eventually be destroyed, our services are designed for you. We follow all National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) guidelines. This ensures sensitive information is handled safely and securely.
At Direct Shred, we proudly serve West Tennessee, North Mississippi, Eastern Arkansas, and Southwest Kentucky. Our services include both large cities and small towns, with most of our business coming from Memphis. In Tennessee, we work in places like Jackson, Germantown, Brownsville, Dyersburg, Paris, and Union City, along with many others. We also serve Corinth, Hernando, Horn Lake, Olive Branch, Southaven, and Senatobia along with many others in North Mississippi.
While these are our core service areas, we occasionally travel beyond them for special projects, such as work in Nashville. In those cases, additional mileage charges may apply.
At Direct Shred, we know shredding needs are not the same for everyone, which is why we offer flexible options. Customers can choose weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly service. We also handle one-time residential projects and larger purge jobs for bulk cleanouts. In general, we recommend not keeping sensitive documents longer than eight weeks, as they can become a liability over time.
For small businesses, quarterly service often works best, but the right schedule depends on your volume of files and storage space. Professional shredding not only keeps information secure, it also saves employee time and reduces clutter in filing cabinets and offices.
At Direct Shred, we often partner with organizations to host public shredding events, giving communities, clients, and employees a secure way to dispose of documents. These events usually last at least three hours, with one of our trucks and a trained driver on-site to handle materials. Common hosts are banks, realtors, cities, large churches, CPA, and chambers of commerce; however, any group with one hundred or more participants can benefit. Details like outreach or extra activities are determined by the host, and upcoming dates can be found on our website.
Our trucks can shred up to 6,000 pounds of material, though two trucks are recommended for very large events. On event day, our team arrives early to set up so shredding can begin quickly. If your organization is interested in hosting, give us a call or email. A phone call is usually the fastest way to connect!

At Direct Shred, we provide a range of container sizes to fit different shredding needs. Our Executive Console works well for small offices with moderate amounts of paper, while larger 65-gallon and 95-gallon containers are ideal for high-volume shredding. The right choice often depends on staff size, office space, and how much material your organization produces.
An Executive Console can hold up to seven pounds, while larger offices or banks may need multiple consoles or bigger containers. We supply and install the containers at no extra cost, and you will receive a key for access between pickups. No matter the size of your shredding load, we will help you find the container that makes disposal simple and secure.
